few years in the making, the debut album is finally here, showcasing
the talents as an MC and producer of Puerto Rico's premier hip
hop DJ. Most of the beats were done by Velcro himself, to serve
as a backdrop for lyrics that cover a wide array of topics and
effortlessly flip from English to Spanish and back. With a slew
of guest shots by many of Puerto Rico's finest MC's, including
Siete Nueve, Ikol Santiago, J-Mo and fellow Hip-Hop-Vox-er Tek
1, as well as a stellar collaboration with MC Tableek from the
New York group Maspyke and appearances by PR's premier turntablist
Godfader and virtually Velcro's whole family, 'El álbum'
has already set the high bar for hip hop from Puerto Rico. |
